Révélé par les frères Dardenne dans Rosetta (1999), il est régulièrement présent dans leurs films : Le Silence de Lorna, L'Enfant, Le Gamin au vélo, Deux jours, une nuit. Il est plus connu du grand public à travers ses personnages dans deux séries télévisées à succès : ceux de Rémi Andreani dans Mafiosa, le clan et de Marcel Larcher dans Un village français.
